Yes. Although Direct membership patients do not need insurance for their primary care that they receive from Dr. Oyewole, you will still need coverage for those things not included in your membership agreement (such as hospital admissions, emergency room visits, specialists, Imaging, prescription drugs etc.). Members often realize considerable savings by purchasing a high deductible plan to cover these additional services.

We don't generally answer the phone outside of our normal business hours but you can leave us a voicemail. If there's an urgent concern, there's an option to reach Dr. Oyewole directly (See "Pricing and Membership"). Medication refills and non-urgent issues are addressed during visits. If you are having a life-threatening emergency, you are instructed to call 911 immediately.
We are not a pain management clinic, so we do not regularly prescribe narcotic or controlled substances; nor do we store or dispense in our office. We are happy to refer our chronic pain members to a pain specialist.
What about prescription drugs, lab tests, imaging, and other testing? Are they included in my membership?
No. Outside services that we do not personally provide are not included in your membership. The good news is that we dispense most regularly prescribed drugs at heavily discounted prices right from our office (no extra trip to the pharmacy). We are also negotiating with select vendors for testing services.
A thirty-day written notice is required before your annual membership is set to renew.
Yes. Please click “pricing plan” for more information.
Of course! We are happy to accept Tennessee Medicaid beneficiaries as members. But we do not bill or participate in Medicaid so all of the normal membership fees apply. You can still use your coverage for pharmacy prescriptions, lab testing, specialty and hospital care, and any other services not personally provided by us.
